Congratulations!!
Congratulations on moving to Idaho and how exciting!
Now that you’ve arrived, you’re probably wondering, what is there to do? Let us present a few ideas …
1. Boise River Greenbelt
Many locals enjoy walking and biking along the Boise River Greenbelt. You can see wildlife and enjoy the City of Trees up close.
2. Birds of Prey
The Birds of Prey is a local non-profit organization that shares beautiful birds. It is a great family activity and very beloved here in the Treasure Valley.
3. Old Idaho Penitentiary
The Idaho Penitentiary is a local historic site that is very well known around the Boise area. Visitors often talk about haunting experiences, and it was even an episode of Ghost Adventures!
4. Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial
This is a local museum founded in 1996 dedicated to Idaho Anne Frank Memorial. If you have small children, many schools do field trips to this museum to learn about human rights programs and resources.
5. Freak Alley Gallery
This is a unique feature in Boise. Local artists from all across the Treasure Valley create murals on buildings using paint and spray paint. They are frequently updated so it could differ from week to week or month to month depending on when you go.
There are plenty of things to do and things to see locally in Boise, whether that is night lift in downtown Boise enjoying clubs and restaurants or taking hikes along the Boise trails. If you need more ideas on things to do, give us a call!
