📌 According to reports, Shyamapriya shot her scenes in Austin, Texas, from May 15 to June 5, 2021. Intensive dialogue-heavy scenes were filmed in Chennai, including at railway station Madurai Road and landmarks like Parthasarathy Temple and Marina Beach. Around 35 days of shooting were dedicated in the US, with additional post-production work occurring locally.

The team resumed shooting on July 19 and August 13 at locations including Rancho Y Mesta (Cille Rowland Drive), St. Thomas Mount, St. Marys School, and the adjacent Kudumba Nagar neighborhood—an area reflecting the couples reconnection. Choreographed scenes and family-centric dialogues required precise coordination, evident in the films depiction of multi-generational relationships.

📌 Critics largely reviewed Keycroyo as uneven, with strong emphasis on its stilted dialogue and diluted chemistry. The films premise—focusing on evolving cultural relationships—was described as underdeveloped, failing to resonate emotionally. While cinematography and production design received appreciation for capturing Texas locales, most reviewers noted lackluster performances, especially from Karthik Muthuramans portrayal of Ravi.

📌 Aishwarya Malleshs supporting role stood out, earning praise for emotional nuance; she later won the Best Supporting Actress award at Zee Tamil Awards 2022 and a MaSako Film Award. Shyamapriyas performance was seen as pale in comparison to her prior roles, grounded in realism but constrained by script limitations.

📌 Box-office and reception Keycroyo underperformed commercially, grossing below 12 Crores against a modest budget. Ranking in the lower quartile at the Chennai box office, it reflected challenges in connecting with audiences amid crowded release windows and uneven execution. Critics categorized it among the years unremarkable Tamil releases, with calls for stronger storytelling and authentic performances to stand out in the industry.
